A beautiful Victorian diamond engagement ring set with a graduated row of five old cut diamonds with a total estimated weight of 0.20cts in elegant claw settings to flowing shoulders leading to a smooth gold shank. Crafted in 18ct gold with UK hallmarks for 18ct, city arms for Birmingham and date letter for 1892.

This ring was made in 1892 towards the end of the Victorian era, a period in English history defined by the reign of Queen Victoria, from 1837 to 1901. The Birmingham jewellery quarter, now a conservation area, is the largest centre of jewellery making in Britain and was at its peak in the late 19th century.
