These earrings and brooch date to the late Victorian era, circa 1890 - 1900. Earrings of the late 19th century were generally small and dainty, with pendent earrings appearing in around 1890. Delicate designs and pale colours were fashionable in jewellery, coinciding with an extremely feminine style of dress with materials such as lace and tulle. Jewellery became lighter and smaller with a delicate romantic look and pearls were highly desired for their delicate sheen.
